My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available for Adoption: 9/28/24-Applications need to be approved before a meet and greet will be set up for any Fetching Hearts Rescue dogs.

Meet Dollee!!!!

Dollee is a very playful and loving gal. She was found as a stray in Tennessee where her family never came back for her. Fetching Hearts took her in as we knew she was a plain ol' black dog.

Dollee will need a fenced-in yard where she can run around with her friends. We recommend that she has a dog friend in whatever home she goes to. Dollee will love a family that likes doing outdoor activities and also goes on hikes. She is a lovely girl!! Dollee would be a great running partner or even someone to go a long hiking exploration. Dollee loves to play tug of war with her friends with rope toys. She also enjoys a game of chase. We would recommend that Dollee go to basic training classes to learn commands and how to be the best girl ever. She is super smart already so training will help her be amazing.

If you are looking for a typical black dog who is amazing, apply for Dollee today!! She will make you feel the love you have not had in your home for awhile!!!! Make Dollee a forever member of your home today!!!

Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming, Microchip, Flea and Tick Prevention and Heartworm Prevention.

Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.

HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
