My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Super easy dog! She has very low energy and low drive and thrives on routine. She LOVES to go on a walk and is wore OUT after and needs to rest her front left leg (she is a gunshot victim and has
residual pellets in her leg/shoulder). She's great with ALL dogs- the more the merrier- she will lay in the floor and play with little dogs. Ignores cats. She's crate and potty trained but doesn't bother anything in the house- you never know she's there until she has to potty. Very quiet. Loves to lay in the
sunshine every morning for about 20-30 mins then comes in to get on her bed until her evening walks.

DD is the epitome of a go with the flow dog, and wants a relaxing home to settle into and spend the rest of her days. She's not a super social dog with strangers, and isn't a good candidate for someone who wants to bring their dog out to concerts, coffee shops, downtown, etc. She loves the farm life, but would also thrive in an apartment or house with an owner who was dedicated to getting her some outdoor time with doggy friends. She's currently in a foster with mature dog savvy (and gentle) kids, and does so well!

Additional adoption info

We do not do any outright adoptions! All animals are required to go through a 3-4 week Foster to Adopt period with their potential homes. This allows pressure free integration for the humans, and an assurance of correct placement for the animal.

Adoption rates are subject to change at the organization’s discretion.

RHRN is a foster based rescue. We utilize fosters all over South Carolina, and sometimes into GA and NC. Please inquire as to your desired animal’s location during the application process (if not already listed).

More about this rescue

Red’s House Rescue Network is a working breed rescue based out of Greenville County SC. Our primary focus are breeds that are “too much,” the breeds that deteriorate quickly in shelter environments, and sometimes have a bad rap. These dogs are capable of being incredible members of society, as pets, sport dogs, and working partners. RHRN has placed dogs in IGP, PSA, Service Dog, & Police Department homes, among others. We also of course have lower drive dogs that make wonderful pets.

We aim to place all of our dogs with basic manners/OB in place, and we are a forever asset to our alumni’s- for any issues or needs post adoption, we will ALWAYS help, and we will ALWAYS take our dogs back if there is a need. Once an animal passes through Red’s House, they’ll always have a home!
