My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cinnamon is a loving, gentle momma dog with a heart of gold. This sweet soul is full of warmth and affection. She may need some extra time and care in foster, but Cinnamon’s loving spirit shines through every day. She enjoys cuddles, gentle walks, and moments of quiet joy. If you’re looking to offer a safe, nurturing environment for this brave and beautiful dog, Cinnamon would be forever grateful for your love and care. Cinnamon is a sweet girl that would love to have a foster home to relax in. She loves to be outside sunbathing, exploring, and going on walks. She is a loving girl that would love to snuggle up on the couch with her foster.

Reason for Foster: Evan`s Disease

Foster Time Frame: 2-3 Weeks

Foster Care Plan: Cinnamon is suspected to have Evans disease. This is an immune system related disease that causes anemia and her immune system to attack and destroy it’s own platelets. She will go home with medication and will have rechecks with the medical team. Her foster should monitor her closely for bleeding and bruising and immediately alert the foster team if noticed. We will provide a medical consultation at her pickup appointment, so you are well informed and prepared to confidently care for this sweet girl.

Foster to Adopt: Cinnamon is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/ or email us at foster@operationkindness.org to learn more.
