Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet May
This beautiful young girl came in on our recent freedom ride. She is one of five dogs we pulled from a high kill shelter, all on the euth list. This beauty is only 10 months old! She has her whole life ahead of her. May is a fun, energetic, silly, out-going, affectionate, curious, athletic and friendly pup. She looks to be a lab/ hound mix or maybe a lab/black mouth cur mix. She is such a great dog.
May loves meeting people and she loves other dogs. She is energetic and has a happy demeanor. Everything is fun for May. She does well on a leash but may need a little gentle guidance. No biggie for a smart and eager to please young pup. May has a gorgeous silky soft camel colored coat, warm brown eyes and a sweet face. May loves to play. She’d be a great hiking dog or runabout companion. She has a confident and steady demeanor. She’s a great dog that you could take places with you.
If looking for a great family dog and your best friend, May may be the one for you.
If interested in welcoming May to your family, please submit a dog application found online at www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org Please call our shelter at 706-865-4135 or email us
smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website.
Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No Kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
