My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr Wiggles is being fostered in Shabonna, IL.

Please meet Mr. Wiggles.  He was named this because his backend NEVER stops wiggling.  Mr. Wiggles is estimated to be 2 years old and currently weighing about 40 lbs.  He nearly doubled his weight since arriving into rescue from the deplorable conditions in which he was living.

Mr. Wiggles currently lives with several other dogs and a cat in his foster home.  He is learning at rapid paces - good house manners, basic obedience and is doing very well. He knows these commands already: Down, Sit Off, Stay, and No.  He is also doing very well on recall and leash training.  Mr. Wiggles is a VERY sweet boy and has an EXCELLENT temperament.

Mr. Wiggles eats his meals in his crate, but he does prefer to sleep next to his foster siblings.  He is a HUGE fan of running and playing with his foster siblings.  For this reason, we recommend another dog in the home.  Mr. Wiggles is crate trained, potty trained, and is very eager to please.  He has a remarkable temperment for a dog that previously lived in complete filth and without a lack of care for his (and others) well-being.

Mr. Wiggles is netuered, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms. He does require a committed adopter who is willing to devote 1 - 2 hours of mental and physical stimulation per day.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any past or current pets is required to adopt from our rescue.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
