Here's what the humans have to say about me:
· Intake Reason: stray Known with: · Cats: unknown · Dogs: unknown previously - does well in playgroups but takes a little bit to warm up · Kids: unknown Weight: 52 lbs
Hi there, my name is Hunter and I am in the market for a new home. I am hoping for a loving family who has experience with my breed and knows how phenomenal GSDs are, along with our quirky idiosyncrasies. I am an extreme athlete who needs some socialization to build up my confidence. Although I was out and about on my own for a bit, there are many things in this world that I have never experienced. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and discover new things, people and places each day to help me blossom into a self-assured dog. I am quite versatile and will need a person who will give me plenty of ways to expend my energy and smarts; it would be lovely to have a job or two. I would thrive with an abundance of companionship and attention; it would be wonderful to take some classes together so we can have fun and bond. I am a friendly lad but like to do snuggling on my own terms; if I think someone is being too forward with handling, I may try to wiggle away. When I meet new people, I tend to be a bit shy at first and need some time to relax and get comfortable. I will need you to be patient and let me do things at my own pace. I am gorgeous and will thrive on challenging activities and exercise. Mental exercise is very important to me so I can participate in interesting activities that will keep my mind stimulated. Perhaps we can try agility, rally obedience, interactive toys like foraging mats or brain teasers or play games like Hide ‘n Seek. I will be very loyal and devoted to you and think we can have a magnificent life together. I hope you stop by so we can spend some time together and get acquainted. #2

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
