My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Curly is a spirited 4-year-old Doodle mix weighing in at 59 pounds. Rescued from the streets of Fort Worth, he came to CAMO Rescue in tough shape, severely underweight and in need of care. Fortunately, Curly's life has taken a positive turn, and he's ready to find his forever home!

This lovable bundle of energy adores running around the yard and, more than anything, loves being around people. Curly is completely potty trained and will hold it until he gets his chance to go outside. He's currently refining his leash walking skills and is making great progress, though he'll need a bit of consistency to master it.

Curly gets along well with older children, making him a great family companion. However, he would do best with no cats and as the only dog in the home due to some resource guarding tendencies with food and treats. With plenty of love and attention, Curly is sure to bring joy and laughter to any household. If you're looking for a devoted friend who will thrive with your companionship, Curly is your guy! Come meet him today!

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
