Why I need a new home

Human health issues (e.g. allergies, sickness)

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pete was rescued from the LASPCA when I adopted him 9 years ago. He’s now a white-bearded love bug who enjoys a good bone, walk, and back scratches. My youngest child has had some medical concerns and it turns out we have a dog allergy and can sadly no longer have Pete in our home.
Pete has been successfully living with 2 small children (currently 6 and 2) since they were both born. He loves other dogs.
Pete isn’t physically snuggly, but wants to curl up next to you or at your feet- he’s a protector through and through. He’s in amazing health. His breed often has joint issues, and he’s undergone 2 full knee replacements, so shouldn’t have any further issues there. It’s also helped slow him down a bit, so walks can be shorter, and play is calmer. He’s trained, but will not do a crate. He’d be perfect for someone who needs a companion but doesn’t want puppy energy or accidents. — He’s great company, loyal, and a best friend.
Petey is a great dog and needs a loving home.
