For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
This helps Coming Back Home Rescue with pet care costs.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Josie arrived 9/15 after escaping euthanization in South Carolina. We are still getting to know her. If you have questions or would like us to look into something, please ask.
Josie is such a sweet girl, we couldn't imagine why someone would dump her to be euthanized. She's friendly, loves kids and playful who will stand up for her friends. The cutest little package of a dog who loves to wear her jammies. Does well in her crate but may whine occasionally. House trained.
Josie pulls on the leash, so, she's currently undergoing leash training. We don't think she was taken out much in her previous home. Otherwise, there's literally no complaints we could even give about her!
Upon intake (surrendered), Josie had/have some concerns.
1. There is an indent in her head followed by a fresh scar. Based on observation, this was human made. This doesn't stop her from an amazing dog and is just as smart as ever.
2. Josie favors her left leg (slight) from an injury. There's bruising and some indication of being on her side for awhile (crated) . She will recover over time. Jose walks, runs and plays normally.
3. Josie is recovering from a Flea allergy and has some yeast in her paws. She's currently being treated for.
Josie is spayed and UTD on vaccines. She's ready for a Foster to Adopt.

Additional adoption info
We always start off with the application reviewing them at a first come, first serve basis. We look for the best possible compatibility and may ask questions to help to determine if you would be a great possible match. Next, we schedule something known as a "Happy Visit" where you can meet your potential new family member. We usually do this at your property which also covers the brief home visit. However, we also have adoption events or can meet in neutral locations for some animals. Afterwards, you sign an adoption contract and pay for their adoption fee.
ALL adopters must go through a Foster to Adopt before finalizing to ensure it's a good fit.
We check in on a 3-3-3 basis to make sure everything is going well between your new pet while providing resources to help make transitioning smoother.
