My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information.

Bubba is at risk due to his deterioration in care. Although Bubba has been highly social and engaging outside of his kennel, he is becoming increasingly mouthy, jumping up and mouthing at hands persistently on walks. On one occasion, Bubba began lunging at unfamiliar staff which caused him to trip and fall; he then redirected and nipped at the handler. Bubba does enjoy a variety of toys, enrichment items games, and treats. Medically, Bubba is overweight.

A volunteer writes: Bubba is a big caramel nugget. He is a big with big pouty mouth and a lot of junk in the trunk. He is a snack aficionado, a couch king, and handsome silly man.

He came to us when his owner couldn't care for him anymore. He had lived with 3 adults who he was friendly and playful with. He preferred to keep his space to from dogs on the street. He likes to go for long walks, visit the groomers. Bubba met a female dog at the shelter who he greeted with a soft wiggly body and bounces! He offers play bows, and then creates more space when the other dog becomes over exuberant.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.
