My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age is just a number!

Layla was an absolute treat to behold during playgroups. Layla knew how to tiptoe around then dip into the best bows to woo her playmates. She could definitely pass for a much younger pup with all of her adorable exuberance while interacting with the other male and female dogs. It was impossible not to love her.

She may be a senior and she may have some gray on her muzzle, but Layla is full of life and a volunteer favorite. She is quiet and calm in the kennel, but once it is time for walks, she greets us at the door, tail wagging. She is always up for adventures! She has excellent leash manners and loves to explore the world around her. She has excellent potty habits, so her kennel is always clean. She proves that an old dog can learn new tricks and she accepts her treats very gently for a job well done.

This very sweet senior is looking for her forever home where she can retire in peace and comfort with lots of belly rubs and cuddles. If you're interested in learning more about Layla, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Layla 253544."

Layla is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
