- Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip and had a great time with his human companions: "He is very friendly and loving. He is high energy and loves being outside, so someone that likes going on runs, hikes, and stuff like that would be perfect for him. He's very good on a leash, but when he gets excited about something or wants to check something out, he'll pull a little. If you walk, run, or go past another dog or person, he will stay next to you. He loves having the window down in the car, but would rather be in the front seat with you than the back seat. He may do best with a barrier because of that. He's the best boy you'll ever meet!"
- Prefers to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he's in a home environment and has had time to decompress
- Loves going on walks around the shelter and does best with a harness
- Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs (dog intro recommended)
- Needs a teens-and-up home right now
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
Primary Color: Black
Weight: 66
Age: 3yrs 1mths 1wks
