My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I have lived with cats.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

Tiny was in the den and wouldn't look out, barely sniffed treats and was hunched with a tight body, stiff neck muscles and was looking left and right with her eyes when approached. She allowed all petting while remaining tense and mostly frozen in place. She might try and hide in a her new home initially.

Tiny tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.

A volunteer writes: Tiny is so petite she could be mistaken for a kitten. But don't let her youthful appearance make you think she's a needy, attention-seeking baby cat. Tiny is a calm, well-mannered adult, with excellent manners and a quiet demeanor. When I met her in the cat adoption room, she eyed me with curiosity as she watched me break out a pen and jot down these notes. Because she seemed shy, I didn't approach her for pettings. But our behavior team noted that she allows pettings on her head and body and is even okay with (briefly) being picked up and carried. Tiny is at that perfect age where she knows how to behave and entertain herself, and once she feels secure she'll open up into the loving tabby she truly is.
