My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In Foster: Penny is currently in a foster home. To begin the adoption process, please email our Adoptions team at SDCadoptions@gmail.com with your name, a phone number, and and what pets you have in the home. We look forward to telling you more about this sweet feline!

How Penny arrived:
Penny was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team.

Why Penny is the one for you:
Penny is a sweet older girl who has been very social since her arrival. She's looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her retirement years in comfort and companionship. Penny would be the perfect addition to a family ready to give her the love and care she deserves!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Penny is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
