Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
They don't come this handsome often....Sol is a humble dude so won't say that himself but he is a husky, so likely at least has a few things to say at some point. Sol is super handsome, active and smart and is smaller for a husky at about 44 lbs full grown (though some of that surely is hair.) Sol is ready to be on the move, learn new things, be your best bud, talk a little bit maybe and overall be everything you would expect a husky to be. He has done well with his lady dog friends and would surely prefer those with similar energy levels to him. He would love husky people who are ready to adventure and be on the move. Sol promises to be soft, snuggly, a smarty pants and the best part of your day!
**Volunteer Dog Walker feedback: "Sol was a great hiking buddy today! He was fine with being in the middle or back of the pack. He was best on leash when at the lead. He really enjoyed his time splashing in the lake. He drank from the stream on the tail end of the trail and was reluctant to leave after only a few splashes! He was sociable in our hiking group and was friendly with other strangers on the trail".
*Weekend Host feedback: "He has such a playful side, especially when it comes to fetch! Although he hasn't quite mastered bringing the toy back, he's enthusiastic and clearly loves any game involving his favorite toys. After bathroom breaks and right before bed, he'd get zoomies-it was so cute! While he wasn't too eager about going into his crate, a treat placed inside was all it took for him to jump right in. Once he was inside, he settled in comfortably. In the car, he was a dream-he loved sticking his head out of the sunroof and taking in all the sights and sounds"!

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org
Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.
Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue
Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.
We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
