My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Yellowstone ....we call him Stoney for short... was literally seen thrown out of a vehicle. A good Samaritan scooped him up and had him vetted. He has not let any of that bother him. He is affectionate, playful, and an eternal optimist who loves everyone. He is very smart, has a calm demeanor and loves naptime as much as playtime. He loves cats but sometimes wants to play more than they do and would do best with a dog savvy cat.

More about this shelter

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 3 to 4 weeks) with pre-adopted animals.Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
