My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Peach was brought in by their previous owner on September 21, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Peach, the sassy, spirited husky who's as sweet as her name! This fluffy bundle of energy is looking for a calm and cozy home without the hustle and bustle of young children running around. While she adores playdates with her canine pals, she's still perfecting her social skills-so a little help with doggy etiquette would go a long way. Think of her as the quirky friend who's always ready for fun, but might need a nudge when it's time to chill. Peach is the ultimate co-pilot for your next adventure, and when playtime wraps up, she's more than happy to transform into a certified couch potato. She loves to chat (yes, you might find her talking back!) If you're seeking a loyal companion who enjoys snuggling and keeping close to her humans, Peach is ready to be your furry sidekick-just don't expect her to let you out of her sight! Be sure to bring a leash and collar to take home Peach today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
