My name is Luca!

Luca - 10 Years old available for adoption. 

Luca is a 10 year old Maltese. He has never lived in a home until recently so he is not housebroken and wears belly bands inside.  With that said however, he is doing much better since his neuter and is keeping his kennel dry. 

He is the perfect mix between senior and puppy. His puppy qualities include curiosity, high energy, and play. Luca is learning to play with toys for the first time and enjoys whipping toys around. 

This guy also loves to cuddle. His senior qualities are really more physical.  We found out at his neuter appointment that he does have a grade 5 heart murmur, but no medication is required at this time. He only has 11 teeth remaining, but still eats just about anything. He will need a recheck in two weeks to make sure that the hole where they removed a canine stays closed and it could possibly need repaired which the rescue will cover.

Luca is also is a little hard of hearing.  He currently lives with several dogs and does fine. Lastly, his leash skills are not great and he would do best with a fenced yard
