My name is Darlene!

DARLENE 2 year old 50lb low rider heart worm positive bulldog/boxer blend arrived as a stray with 2 puppies. Her pups have gone on to a rescue partner, but she is still waiting for her chance to find a loving home. One of our terrific volunteers has this to say about this sweet Mama. “I don't think I've ever been so immediately drawn in by a dog. It was like there was a magnet pulling me to her. She never barked or made a single peep. I might have walked right by her if I hadn't caught her gaze. Darlene has the softest, kindest eyes. I just had to see her up close. She was so gentle, luring me ever-closer. While I sat with her, she carefully and gently made her way all the way into my lap. She was so grateful and all smiles when she realized I was letting her stay there. She thanked me for our closeness with a couple soft, gentle kisses. It was so hard to walk away from her. Staff reported that she is loving to everyone. She tries to make friends other dogs and cats. Her beauty on the outside 1000% matches her beautiful soul. She's kind of the total package so I don't see why she shouldn't be packing her bags this week. Let's get this deserving girl out of a kennel and into the loving home she deserves.
