Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET CHICO - 6 yrs old - Male Long Hair.
Chico is a gorgeous 6 year old male domestic longhair. He is currently being housed with our foster Spooky, and they’ve become good buddies! Chico can be adopted solo, or with his friend Spooky.
Chico is quirky, laidback, and sweet as pie.
His main quirk? He loves to drink water with his paw in the water. Once he’s done quenching his thirst with his paw dunked in the water, he flicks his paw to get some of the water off, paying no mind to anyone in the splash zone. We have no idea why he does it, but we call it “soggy paw time”, and we love everything about him, soggy paw and all.
Chico is a social cat who loves to greet everyone, including new guests. He loves to rub up on everyone to say hello, and is quite the purr machine! He is not a lap cat, and is not much of a cuddler, but shows his love through his enthusiastic greetings and being near you.
His long fur requires regular brushing to prevent matting and hairballs. He is easy to brush and does not mind being picked up. He benefits from occasional sanitary trims to keep his booty dingleberry-free. He gets his teeth brushed a few times a week to keep up his dazzling looks.
He do best in a home without dogs or small children. He is a gentle soul who does not like loud noises. He’s especially scared of dogs barking, garbage trucks and thunderstorms. If you work in garbage collection, it’s probably best not to tell him what you do for work.
In March of this year, Chico had surgery on his left knee to correct a grade 3 luxating patella. His right knee remains a grade 1. A slight gait issue remains, but Chico is much steadier on his legs and feeling much better!
Likes:
Crunchy treats
A fresh bowl of water to dunk his paw in
Catnip
Plush pet beds
Making biscuits on his fleece blankey
Carpeted stairs/stairs with slip guards (for his knees)
Chico has excellent litter pan habits, and does well with other cats with a slow introduction. He had orthopedic surgery on his left knee March 2024, and he had a dental cleaning May of this year.
Chico's Adoption fee is: $120
This includes Spay/Neuter, rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, FELV/FIV Testing, pyrantel dewormer and microchip.

More about this rescue
We are an all volunteer, foster based rescue. Our cats/kittens are socialized in a home environment, and we get to learn their true personalities to fit them with their perfect forever home.
We do adoption tables/events on the weekends, and are happy to set up any meetings with our available cats/kittens during the week to approved adopters.
We do ask for your patience as our volunteers do have full time jobs as well as volunteering, but we think our adoptees are well worth the wait.
