Meet handsome Erik, who has won the hearts of his foster family and is a volunteer favorite at the shelter! He’s so very sweet, calm, laid back, affectionate, a people pleaser with a very gentle demeanor. Erik is house trained and a quiet dog, rarely barking. He’s an excellent loose-leash walker, non-reactive to other dogs, deer and squirrels he encounters. Erik is friendly with everyone he meets, allowing strangers to approach him and give him pets. He’s never tried to get up on the furniture and will sleep quietly through the night on the floor on the side of your bed. He’s treat motivated and a fast learner, knows sit and is learning shake. Erik is a playful pup and enjoys his toys. He likes to be in the same room as his people, and comes up wanting pets and belly rubs, willing to stay there getting love for as long as you are willing. Erik has a beautiful coat, with minimal shedding compared to most other dogs. He was paired with another dog in the shelter, and may be able to live with another dog in the house after a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
