We are rehoming Charlie with a very heavy heart. We live in a very small house, with an extremely active 4yo, and as my son grew out of his baby stage into his toddler/young child stage, Charlie has became increasingly more stressed. When he wants space he communicates very clearly in dog language, but interactions between Charlie and my son have become increasingly more precarious, and I want to make sure that my son does not get injured and Charlie put in a shelter or worse, just for being a dog. Charlie is great with older kids, cats, and dogs (we foster, and we have a small dog and 3 cats). He is a lab and loves food, so he does counter surf, and he loves to chew. He's good on a leash once his excitement wears down, but he does try to chase squirrels and deer. He would do best in a home with another dog as a playmate, and/or with someone/a family that will play with him. He loves to play! He knows a few tricks and is pretty easy to train.
