My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Jerry and I am a 9 year old male Chihuahua, Short Coat eager to be your loyal companion.

Don't let my age fool you-I may be a senior, but I'm still full of spunk and love! I'm a cuddly pup who believes every day is a good day for a cozy nap and a few belly rubs. You'll often find me nestled in my favorite spot on the couch, soaking up all the affection I can get.

I've got a tenacious spirit that keeps me ready for a stroll around the neighborhood or a gentle game of fetch the stuffy. I might not have the energy of a young pup, but I make up for it with wisdom and charm!

If you're looking for a loyal companion who knows how to enjoy the simple things in life-like treats, cuddles, and sunbeams-then I'm the dog for you! Let's spend our golden years making beautiful memories together!

Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.

When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
