For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Her tail might be tucked (at first), but her body still leaned in. Barcelona is our typical dog. A life of neglect and still sweet as heck. We joke she has a naked but because the mange has taken most of her hair. Her body tells her story of puppies and poor living conditions, yet she is filled with polietness and trust. Barcelona loves attention and receives it so calmly. She knows commands, has a gentle mouth, and is comfortable with all over handling. Humans don't deserve dogs. Barcelona is ready for the good life being loved because of who she is not what she can produce.
Came in as a stray on 8/28/24.
Found with A280462, A280465, & A280464 near 1400 W 115th, Calumet Park
Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.
The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
