My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty, named for that gorgeous orange coat, is a male kitten born in late April 2024. He loves playing and hanging out with his siblings and would definitely love a home with another feline friend. He does seek out people for play time and snuggles. He loves crinkling toys and the elusive red dot. To adopt Rusty, apply at ITVrescue.org.

All of our cats are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
