Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Raccoon is a sweet one-and-a-half-year-old male cat looking for his forever home!
This adorable guy is playful, curious, active, loving, cuddly. He meows hello every morning, and when you get home.
He’s an active boy who lives to play with toys and watch the squirrels. He will bring a toy ball to whatever room you're in and play by you.
Raccoon wakes up around 7:30 when the dog gets up. He eats his breakfast and then naps. He is most playful after work around 5. But sometimes during while I’m working (at home), he will sit on my desk and watch the squirrels outside.
He is quite active and has many cat towers he runs around on. This boy is healthy and fun; he briefly had some eye allergies, but they cleared up with eye drops.
This handsome boy lives in a house with his foster human and a dog. He gets along well with the dog but is hesitant to play with her (she’s 70 lbs. so that's understandable!). In general, Raccoon is curious and friendly with dogs, but a bit selective about cat friends. He hasn’t met any children yet.
Raccoon would thrive in a house with lots of windows, and a gentle dog or cat companion. He is extremely affectionate, and likes lots of attention, so he would do best in a home where his humans work from home or are around a lot to play with him.
Are you ready for a fun snuggle bug this winter? Raccoon would love to meet you!
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? " Racoon is active and likes climbing! Racoon loves to play fetch with plastic balls that have the bell inside. He enjoys a solid nap right on your chest but usually gives you a kiss on your nose before he snuggles in. Racoon needs a consistent play time throughout the day but will take naps in between.
He lives with 1 adult and a 13 year old boy. He also lives with 3 other cats but is separated from them due to playing too rough sometimes. Raccoon would thrive in a home where the human is home a lot. He would also love to have different cat towers to jump around on.
His foster believes he is part Bengal or Egyptian Mau. He never sheds hair due to his silky short hair coat. He is intelligent and loyal and doesn’t like to be alone. He would do best in a home without other cats and may do ok with older kids. It is unknown how he does with dogs.
If your looking for an active young cat then consider adding Racoon to your home!

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Mission
Pet Haven improves the lives of pets and the people who love them by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats; reducing pet overpopulation by supporting spay and neuter efforts, and providing resources to people that help strengthen the human-animal bond.
Our Vision
A Minnesota where all pets live in safe, loving homes.
Our Values
Excellence in service and care; community; integrity; innovation; perseverance; compassion; a rewarding place to volunteer
How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners
Foster: Committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs
Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
