More about this shelter

Animal Shelters across the United States are full with deserving animals in need of homes. If you are considering adding a new pet to your household be sure and check with your local animal shelter. A second place to visit is 1-800-save-a-pet.com! We also post our pets on www.petfinder.com.

Please note that most animals entering ACAC shelter are strays and very little background information is known about them. The only thing we can tell you about the animals are the traits and characteristics we observe while taking care of them. If the animal is owner relinquished we may be able to provide additional information. We can not make guarantees on health, housebreaking and if these animals will be good with children. Please use common sense when bringing your new pet home. Allow it time to acclimate to you and your family first before introducing it to other pets and people. Schedule a vet appointment and have the animal seen by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Should you adopt an animal and the adoption not work out, we ask that you bring the animal back to the shelter. The staff at ACAC cares very much about the animals that come through the shelter and we don't want them placed in another shelter or given away carelessly. You can receive a full adoption refund if the animal is returned! Please call the shelter if you have any additional questions: 989-846-4421.
