Dora the Explorer famously sings, “Come on, vámonos! Everybody, let’s go!” as she courageously heads out on adventures with her friends. Our sweet Dora shares the same sentiment, as she would like to get outta the shelter and start her new life with you!
Sweetie pie Dora had a rough start in life and she came into the shelter not having a lot of normal doggy skills, like knowing what a leash was or how to walk on one. Her posse of devoted volunteers have taught her that she is loved and the world is not as scary as she once thought. See what some of them have to say about good girl Dora:
“Dora is a very sweet girl who has come so far in her time at the shelter! She is easy to leash in her kennel and she loves to hang out in the play yard with her kennelmates! While she is still a little shy, she has begun to approach handlers in the play yard and once you start petting her, her tail goes a mile a minute! She is a super-duper sweet girl who loves other dogs and warms up with patient kindness. She has the most adorable little wiggle butt dance when you call her name and I can tell she`s thisclose to letting her guard down!
“We had Dora and her kennelmate in a play group with several other dogs today and Dora really had the opportunity to shine! She was comfortable with all of the other dogs and she communicated well. When people approached she had a happy waggy tail. She had a very sweet demeanor!”
Dora is looking forward to busting outta this joint and starting her life with a loving family who will be understanding and patient as she learns what it means to be a beloved, well cared for family pet! She would likely do very well having a doggy friend at home to teach her the ropes! Come meet Dora today!
