Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This is a courtesy post on behalf of our partners at Maui Humane Society. Duke is available for adoption and can fly ANYWHERE Hawaiian or Alaska Airlines flies. If you are interested in adopting Duke, please contact us and we will put you in touch with the appropriate contacts at Maui Humane!
So many names fit me - Patch, Freckles, Spot - but I'm Duke so I must be royalty! Not really, I'm just a commoner but honestly there isn't anything common about me. I come from a family of ten (so technically I'm a decuplet), our owner passed away so some of us have found new homes and some of us (me included) are still looking. Admittedly I started my journey here very nervous and scared...but fast forward and I've done a 360! I get very excited when someone comes to my kennel to take me out, I like to run around the yard, play with toys, I'm learning fetch, I've refined my leash skills and I love getting attention and being petted. I've done okay in play group and am pretty tolerant when other dogs try to play with me. So what do you think, will I fit in your home? I don't need a crown or a palace, just a family to love me, could that be you?

Launched in 2021, Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is a Newport Beach-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. We are entirely foster-based and are no-kill. Our mission is to help as many homeless dogs and cats as possible find loving and compassionate adoptive families.
We accomplish this by being good stewards of donations, inspiring dedicated volunteers and fosters, providing education on responsible pet ownership, and being advocates for each animal that comes under our care. Our goal is to make a positive impact in the lives of as many animals as we can.
Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue is named in honor of our founder's late dog, Diamond. She was a fantastic foster sister to numerous dogs and was a friend to every animal she met. It is our hope that many more animals in need will get to be one of Diamond's friends.
