Meet Gyro! Gyro is about 4 years old, currently 48 lbs, and he is a mutt! He came from a bad living situation in Alabama but has been soaking up all the love and attention in his local foster home. He is fully house trained, has experience with crate-training, and does well on leashed walks. He could go to a home with other dogs, cats, and/or kids.
His foster says, `This is Gyro (pronounced Guy-ro). He`s a sweet 48 pound low rider, 4 years old, who instantly likes anyone he meets! He`s lived with little kids, other dogs, even a cat. He is absolutely the easiest, most mellow dog I`ve ever fostered! One walk a day is all he wants, and a couple of quick trips to the backyard to check the trees for squirrels. He`d likely be up for a good hike too, but he`s not a dog that requires constant exercise. He is doing great with housetraining, knows Stay, Come, and Sit, and is a big lover of chew toys and bones. He sleeps through the night in the bed or his dog bed. No crates for this pup, he is not at all destructive, even when left alone. Hangs out with my dog and if she`s too much for him, he just walks away. He`s great with my 9-year-old grandson. Not a mean bone in his body. He`s quiet, just barking quickly when he hears a strange noise. He stands patiently for a bath, giving kisses the whole time. He`s a perfect medium size with the softest fur and the most velvety ears. This is a dog that wants nothing more than to be your best friend. Whoever adopts him will be hitting the jackpot!`
He is available for adoption with an approved adopter by appointment in Somerville or Hopkinton, MA. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.
