Hi, my name is Claymore! My mom was an Australian shepherd but I never met my dad. I was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas and transported to the NE to find my furever family.
I love meeting new dogs, I bark at them sometimes to play with me. I play gently and with anyone who wants to.
I’m kind of shy and reserved with people but once I get to know you I know we’ll be best buds! I’m only about 6 months old and while I love to play, I also love to relax with my foster mom and sit in her lap at the local brewery.
I’m working very hard with my potty training and trying to understand leashes. Foster mom says I’m doing good.
Currently I sleep in a crate but I would very much like to sleep next to my human.
I’m also very confused about that dog in the mirror and bark at it. Can someone be my forever family?
There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to my new furever family, a REFUNDABLE $50 neuter deposit which will be refunded upon proof of neuter and $125 transport fee which is what we were charged for professional transport from Texas to Connecticut.

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 79,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
