June Carter Cash (multiple Grammy award winner, philanthropist, and wife to Johnny Cash) sang,
“Well, I don`t want a dipperful of kisses Cause a dipperful ain`t enough If I`m going to be your little turtledove I want a great big bucket of love”
Sweet, brave June (her friends call her Junie) had a hard start to life, but as she has been surrounded by loving, patient advocates at the shelter, her sweet, playful personality has had the opportunity to shine! Here’s what staff and volunteers have shared:
“Little Junie baby is so sweet! She was a little nervous getting leashed up in her kennel this morning, but once she got into the play yard, she came over to me and flopped onto her side for belly rubs! This little sweetie wants to be loved and would benefit from a home to give her patience and tenderness so she continues to learn to trust people! She has such a fun and sweet personality. She loves playing with other dogs and is just a perfect pocket size pup! She is playful in the play yard, runs around and chases her friends; she is a very sweet and bouncy fun girl!”
`We had June and her kennelmate in a play group with a few other dogs today and she really had the opportunity to shine! She was comfortable with all of the other dogs. When people approached she had a happy waggy tail. You could tell that she is so much more comfortable with handling! Very sweet demeanor!`
Junie has buckets of love to give to the right, patient family. She would probably do great in a home with another dog to show her the ropes. If you’re looking for a pup that’s sweet as pie, come meet Junie today!
