My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I can’t say enough about this boy. Even though he was smiling and happy in his kennel when I met him, I just thought at 80 pounds I might not be able to manage him. I sure was wrong as he is a gentle giant! DAX is a two-year-old 80 pound golden honey-colored terrier pit that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 9/21. He was brought in by one of our officers. He’s got so much going for him. After he explored the yard and did his business, he stayed close to me. One time he was across the yard, I called him and he came running. He sits for treats and takes them gently. He’s highly motivated by treats so he should be easy to train. He walks surprisingly well on a leash for his size. He seem to be intimidated by other dogs and didn’t want to meet them. He’s very sweet, easy-going, affectionate (giving kisses), well mannered, and wiggly happy! I would imagine he would be a good cuddle bug. He should do well with gentle children.
