For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Meet Electra, the petite and energetic 1.5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier, slightly smaller than her counterparts. Outside, she's an avid explorer with a penchant for sniffing, almost exhibiting lab-like curiosity in her surroundings. Electra is not just active but also quite trainable-already knowing commands like sit, look, and wait. Being treat-motivated, she should easily grasp other tricks. Her leash manners are commendable; she doesn't pull much, preferring a leisurely stroll while she takes in all the scents. While she loves people and treats, her outdoor adventures steal the spotlight. Electra's gentleness shines through when taking treats, adding an extra touch of charm to this delightful companion.
Although Electra appears quite reactive in her kennel, she surprised us by being rather shy when she got into the play yard. She was awkward and appears a bit under socialized, but she was appropriate and engaged in some play with both male and female dog play partners.
If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Electra 246847".
She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Brindle- Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 40.5 Age: 2yrs 1mths 3wks
