Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Mimi, a beautiful, brown, striped Tabby with round, green eyes that are slightly crossed in adorable fashion!
Mimi has been through a lot recently after going through some trauma with the foster, who she originally was placed with. You see, her family had to surrender her on account of their young son's recent cancer diagnosis.
We're not sure what, exactly, transpired - in that foster home, before Mimi came to us, but she can be highly reactive to the presence of other cats.
She may do best in a more calm environment with less animals. Perhaps with a retired couple or someone who works from home. I do have photos, from her original family, of her laying with and cuddling two, adult male cats. But it's hard to know how she'll react without a fair amount of time to adjust and be properly introduced to a new cat.
Otherwise, she is sweet, gentle, highly-social and can even be a little on the "needy" side... rubbing her head and body into you or your hands. Mimi LOVES full body pets and scratches. She's the type of cat who'll probably run to greet you - when you walk in the door.
You'll find her rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #33 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including video and photo updates on ALL our cats and kittens). Be sure to check out her adoption video and fall in L-O-V-E!!
Mimi's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with NexGard),
* and Microchipping
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making this cutie a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.
** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!
*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).
Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!

1.
Submit Application
Once you see a cat/kitten who's peaked your interest and/or tugged on your heart, you can send an email inquiry through the website.

Interview
Once you've returned the completed application (via email), we follow up with a phone interview: at which time we set up a meet-n-greet.

Home Check
If it's the right match for you, your family, and the animal, we would then conduct a home check; for any escape or safety hazards.

Go meet their pets
All our adoptable pets are featured on Petfinder.com. I also create fun and entertaining videos on each animals, host them on YouTube and post ads on Craigslist; under the Pets section.
It's important to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, fostering, and adopting. I also enjoy teaching others how to humanely trap stray and feral cats.
