My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oakley! 🐾

Oakley is an affectionate 11-year-old gentleman who loves being close to his humans. While he’s not a fan of being carried, he’ll gladly accept all the kisses you offer, showing his appreciation with a sweet wiggle butt! Weighing in at 15 pounds, Oakley is a healthy, pain-free pup after a recent full dental extraction, leaving him with fresh, clean breath.

Despite being deaf and having some mobility issues due to arthritis (like he can't jump), Oakley remains a happy, laid-back companion who enjoys life’s simple pleasures. He loves leisurely strolls, stroller rides, and car trips, though his walks are slow and shuffle-like. Oakley loves attention, especially full-body massages, and gets along well with gentle dogs and cats. His vision is great, and he’s a loving, sweet dog who enjoys giving kisses and staying close to his family.

Oakley is housebroken with access to a pet flap or someone to let him out, and while he’s an early riser, he sleeps through the night. He’s no longer into toys but still enjoys gentle play and wrestling with younger dogs, as long as they’re as gentle as he is. Oakley’s calm demeanor makes him great with gentle children and other pets, including cats.

This senior pup is looking for a loving family who can offer him the gentle companionship he deserves. Could that be you? 🐶💕
