Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I know many people want the little kittens, but us seniors have lots of benefits. For example, you will know our purrsonalities when you meet us. We don't chew on cords, explore garbage cans, or climb your drapes. I'm an 'oldie but goodie' with oodles of love to give. While I don't yell at the kids to 'get off the lawn!', I do like my supper served at the early bird seating, and will fall asleep on your lap within five minutes of starting our Netflix program like any self-respecting senior.
Heartland rescued me from CACC after I was there for over two months when my previous person passed away. My teeth were really bad, but I feel so much better after Heartland made sure I had the dental work that I needed. Thank you from the bottom of my fuzzy heart to everyone who generously donated! I'm relaxing and recovering in a foster home where my foster mom is spoiling me (as it should be).
Did you know that my name, Chester, is associated with sweet cats that love life? The meaning is also 'comfy-cozy' and many cats named Chester are calm and give you a feeling of comfort. Foster mom says I live up to my name 100%!
If you're looking for a lap kitty - I'm your boy! Nothing makes me happier than curling up on your lap and receiving soft pets. I'll thank you with the bestest rumbly purrs. At night, I'll be the little spoon while we sleep.
Some other bits of information I'd love to share with you:
I enjoy getting brushed. (Foster mom wipes me with lavender kitty wipes - I love the spa treatment!)
I'm very much a gentleman - I don't bite, scratch or hiss.
I'm very good with the litter box.
I'm fairly quiet - only 'talking' to you when you are a bit slow getting my meal ready. (Ok....and I do express my displeasure with the cat carrier.)
Do you have a place in your heart and home for this special kitty? Contact cats@heartlandanimalshelter.org to arrange a meet and greet.
Chester is neutered, up to date on FVRCP and rabies vaccinations, FIV and FeLV negative.
