Name: Meatball
Breed: American Bulldog Mix
Age: 1 and 1/2 years old
Background: Meatball was found wandering around a residential neighborhood but was never reclaimed. He was incredibly friendly to the officer who found him and he just jumped right in their car.
Personality: True to his name, Meatball has a huge head. He is big, chunky, and strong, but he's also a sweet cuddle bug. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He loves being around people and going for walks! He pulls hard on the leash but does better with a harness. When he gets back from walks, he plops belly-first down on the ground. He is completely house trained and knows "sit".
Ideal Home: He would love a home with a big yard or a place that would take him on adventures. He has not been officially dog tested yet but displays positive body language around the other shelter dogs. We've never heard him growl before. We always recommend meet and greets if you have another pet in the home.
Final Thoughts: Meatball is an all around wonderful dog! Anyone would be lucky to have him. He is a great combination of playful and affectionate! He does have heartworms which has been treated with an antibiotic. He will have to take one heartworm preventative per month, which is something we strongly recommend for all pet owners.
