My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oof, it's getting darker earlier. And, what are those, clouds? Before you pull the hood up on your sweatshirt and crawl under the comforter for the next 4 months, may we suggest a depression cure? How about an 8 week old puppy? It's certainly hard to be blue when tiny teeth are nibbling your things.

The Depression Cure Crew's mom is a beautiful yellow lab/husky mix. She needed a safe place to wean her puppies after her owner couldn't care for them, so we happily took the family in from the shelter. Once weaned, the mom got spayed and reunited with her person. She is about 50 pounds and we suspect the puppies to be about the same. No word who dad was, but don't let that get you down!

First, the girls. Lexapro is a little shy, but she warms up quickly and loves attention. Celexa is very affectionate and loves to play. Prozac may cause drowsiness and do not adopt Paxil if you are allergic to Paxil.

Next, the boys. Chicken and Dumpling, our most old fashioned and time-honored cures for the blues, are as cuddly as they are funny. Zoloft may cause a change in sleep habits, but is totally worth it.

All of the puppies are socialized, sweet as can be, and ready for training. Puppies need vaccines every 3 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. The Depression Cure puppies have had their first vaccines, have been microchipped and dewormed. They are current on their flea and heartworm preventions. The adoption fee of $600 includes the spay/neuter when they are between 6-9 months old.

Feeling sad? Try your hand at loose leash walking! Need an activity? Sign up for puppy obedience! Studies show that dogs reduce stress, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and improve your all-around health. Just gotta get through potty training first. Apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org
