Checkers is a little orphan who was found trying to scrounge around for food in a feeding colony, among the much larger and more ferocious tomcats. She was spotted dodging among the legs of angry tomcats as she tried to grab a small morsel of kibble. Fearing that she might end up as dinner herself for the larger, hungrier predators around, her rescuer picked up the little sweetie.
Checkers snuggled immediately into her rescuer's arms and started purring. Realizing how small and friendly she was, Checkers was brought into foster care to give her the best possible chance. This little gal was given a bath and offered as much food as she can eat. With a gleaming coat, we discovered that Checkers has the most unusual markings. Her back fur coat is actually a deep chocolate color, while her little face has the markings of a black/white tuxedo. In essence, she's a tri-color kitten. Coupled with enormous, fox-like ears, this little gal is just too cute for words.
We love how Checkers likes to pounce on her rescuer to incite playtime. She has boundless energy and loves nothing better than to engage in kitten gymnastics.
Come meet Checkers and see how charming she is. You can text 214 621 113* or please copy and paste the link into your browser to fill out this application form so we can schedule a meeting:
Please note the following: We always do vet reference checks and we WILL NOT adopt kittens or cats into household where the residential pets are unvaccinated. This is to ensure the safety of BOTH our kitten/cat and your current pets. We adopt locally and will reserve the right to deny Meet and Greet as our volunteers cannot do any home visits if the distance is too great.

More about this rescue
Our Mission Statement:
To match every cat or kitten within our foster program with a permanent, loving family.
We are a small network of rescue volunteers based in the DFW area who are banding together to foster and adopt out rescued cats and kittens!
Our cats and kittens come to us under a variety of conditions: Some of our cats were rescued from hoarding situations or surrendered by their owners, while others were found by good Samaritans after being dumped and abandoned. Some of our mother cats were tossed out, pregnant and malnourished, because their owners never spayed them and did not want litters of kittens in their homes. Our luckiest kittens were born inside our fosters' homes and have known nothing but love and affection from humans. Each of our cats and kittens has been through a big journey and has a unique story to tell.
We all work towards a common goal of finding these sweet, loving cats a wonderful forever home where they will be cherished and pampered for the rest of their lives.
