Say hello to Ember! Ember is a fiery little lady with a big personality! While she may be a bit nervous around new people, once she's comfortable, she loves cheek massages and being groomed by her trusted friends. She came to the shelter with Jellyroll, and they could go home together with a slow reintroduction done in home or she could be a perfect new bun-buddy for your resident rabbit.

She's a fan of free-roam enrichment and will show off her impressive binky skills when she's feeling playful. Ember also loves dashing through long curtains, making her playtime extra fun! She'll need a bunny-proofed home with plenty of space to explore and lots of chew toys to keep her entertained. Her diet should include fresh hay, leafy greens, and high-quality pellets to keep her healthy.

If you're looking for a fun, energetic companion, Ember is the perfect match!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
