My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, I’m Bobbie, and I’m ready for my close up! I’m a gorgeous tabby girl with huge yellow-green eyes, and my coat color is not bright orange like a pumpkin, more of a deeper tone that makes you think of autumn and leaves and getting out your sweaters. No need for a sweater though, I can curl up on your lap and keep you warm. I’ve got a scratchy meow, maybe because I am a bit of a talker, though not in a rude way. When I first meet someone, I say MEOW and then shortly after that, I follow them around and see if maybe I can get closer. If that someone sits down, I will put my paw up to say, HERE? And if it’s all good for me to be on a lap, the purring, elevator butt, and biscuit making will start right up.

In addition to my friendly and sweet personality, I’m a little bit dainty and a lot of Manx. If you don’t know the Manx cat story, it means I don’t have a tail. Instead, there’s a cute bump where a tail would be and I’m fine expressing myself without a flag to wave. I’m about one year old and not at all shy about giving love to humans. You can pet my back and rub under my chin, and I will give you a look of adoration almost immediately. When I’m really happy, I may start to drool. Consider it a compliment!

I’m curious about the outside world and perk up when I see movement outside my windows. Birds, traffic, people, airplanes, I look this way and that, trying to absorb it all. I’m more interested in hanging out with humans than I am in toys right now. I’d love a home with someone around to give me attention and I’d probably do great with a kid buddy. I’d like to be an only cat, though I don’t have any dog experience so who knows if that might be a buddy option too? I’m ready for anything, come visit me and we’ll talk!

Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV tested. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair. Brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! More about this rescue

Feral Fixers is dedicated to the Trap, Neuter & Return (TNR) of feral cats within DuPage county. As part of our mission, we also rescue friendly cats and kittens that have been abandoned outside. We socialize and provide medical care to these kitties in our foster homes, and then make them available for adoption.
