This handsome GSD is Bonzo! He was surrendered to the shelter on 9/20 because his family claimed he was too much for them to handle. Bonzo was purchased from a breeder so they knew how big of a dog he would likely be. His former family did say that Bonzo is good with kids. He is also crate and house-trained which is great news. The volunteers describe Bonzo as friendly, and he sits nicely when asked. It is clear that he is confused about the shelter environment and he really just wants to go home. If you have experience with XL dogs and have the kindness, patience, and time to work with an independently-minded dog, please come meet Bonzo. We know he can be amazing, he just needs the right people to believe in him and work with him.
Bonzo is 1.5 years old, and he weighs 150 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he has been neutered and microchipped. He will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Bonzo is waiting in run 805; his ID # is 662070.
Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
