My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Mouse arrived:
Mouse was brought in by a previous owner.

Why Mouse is the one for you:
Mouse was a bit shy when he first came to stay at Hotel Humane, but with patience and understanding, Mouse is gradually gaining confidence and learning to trust his handlers. He's now calm and gentle when he goes on walks, and he really enjoys his walks! Dogs like Mouse benefit from a calm and supportive environment where they can feel safe. He will need some extra support when it comes to being home alone as well. Gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement will help Mouse continue to grow and feel more comfortable. If yuu would like to meet Mouse, grab a leash and collar and head to our San Diego Campus.

At SDHS:
Mouse has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
