Message for details:
This pet is available for adoption in a foster home. To adopt them, please email us at SDCadoptions@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number.
How this pet arrived:
Olive was brought into care by their previous owner on July 27, 2024.
Why this pet is the one for you:
This is Olive! Rabbits, like Olive, are intelligent and complex animals who do well in families with humans who understand that they are prey animals, and do not enjoy being picked up or held. The best way to bond with them is to spend time with them on the floor, and treat them to plenty of greens and Timothy hay! Olive is a domestic rabbit and should be kept indoors. The nice thing about having indoor rabbits is that they can come out of their cage for bunny playtime, in a rabbit proof area of the home. It's during this supervised playtime that rabbits often exhibit some of their most fun and interesting behaviors! Olive will need a large enclosure with free roaming space (bigger is always better). Olive would love a family who will interact with her daily to keep her healthy and social! When rabbits get the space and enrichment they need, they often form deep bonds with their humans! If you're interested in adding this adorable bun to your family, email us at SDCadoptions@sdhumane.org today!
