Hi! My name is Misty! I was rescued in Kahramanmaras, Turkey after a Good Samaritan alerted Help Street Cats and Dogs, a local rescue that helps neglected, abused street cats and dogs. I was unsteady on my feet and having trouble walking while trying to survive on the streets. The rescue volunteers got me off the streets and took me to a vet. After many tests and x-rays, the doctors couldn't find anything wrong that would explain my unsteadiness but they did discover I was deaf. After receiving lots of love and care in a safe foster home, I regained my strength and ability to walk normally again! I thrived under the care of the foster volunteer in Turkey and became the beautiful, loving, and cheeky girl I am today. Kitties like me have little chance of finding a home in Turkey so with the help of @helpstreetcatsdogs and Maddie the flight volunteer, I flew across the world to find my forever family!
The first, and probably the most important thing you need to know about me is I LOVE love. There is no pet, scritch or snuggle I've met that I have not enjoyed. I welcome all forms of loving attention. I like to bonk my head and rub my body up against your leg to give you a kitty hug, and my purr sounds like an engine with a cute little squeak to it. I’m beautiful both inside and out! Just look at my stunning white fur mixed with unique markings on my head and face. Although I can’t hear my foster human, I know she’s telling me how pretty and precious I am.
I’m very well-behaved and my confidence is blossoming more and more every day. I am sometimes startled but I’m still getting used to my new environment. I might give a small hiss or a loud meow but immediately forget about it and continue on with whatever I was doing. My foster human smiles, and probably laughs, because I’m not a diva but can be a little dramatic when surprised, in the cutest way of course. I’m beginning to figure out how to play with the toys here and I think I’m really getting the hang of it. It almost seems to come naturally!
There’s a resident kitty here who’s three times my size (and orange!) and I'm even warming up to him. I’ll be happy having a feline furiend in my furever home or being your one and only kitty. I can’t wait to meet my new family and share all of my love with them!
You can see more of me in my foster home here @catsanovaa.
