Meet Candice, a young feline full of life. Her spirit is a blend of mellow calmness and playful exuberance. She loves nothing more than a good game of chase with a feathered toy, followed by a cozy nap in a warm lap. Yet, don't let her sweetness fool you, Candice has a sassy side too. She's not afraid to express her opinion, especially when it comes to her favorite treats. But don't worry, her sassiness is just a part of her charm. Candice is ready to fill your home with her unique personality. Adopting Candice means welcoming a friend who will bring joy, laughter, and a touch of sass into your life every day.

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
