My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pepper, a bundle of energy and joy. This little pup is always ready to play and her infectious enthusiasm is sure to brighten up anyone's day. She loves nothing more than a game of fetch or a good belly rub. Pepper is also an excellent listener, always eager to lend an ear to anyone who needs it. She's friendly and gets along well with other animals. Her zest for life is contagious and she's sure to bring a lot of happiness to her future home. Pepper deserves a family that can match her energy and provide her with all the love and care she needs. She promises to return that love tenfold. Adopt Pepper and let her bring a ray of sunshine into your life.

More about this shelter

The Stone County SPCA was organized in 2009 and opened a shelter in 2012 in Wiggins, MS. We have always been a no kill shelter. Our biggest challenge is the high demand to place dogs and cats in our shelter. Currently, we take in approximately 1200 animals annually. We do not euthanize animals for lack of space. We have a live release rate of 95%. We do this by keeping adoption fees low and transporting a large percentage of our animals (65% of our dogs and puppies).
