Roll out the red carpet because this perfect pittie(mix) princess is on the search for her forever home!! Leena is a senior (8-12 year old) gentle soul. Leena doesn’t mind kiddos, cats, dogs, adults, you name it!! She’s a lowkey gal that loves the finer things in life like naps, a Sunday cruise, and sniffaris. This senior lady would be a perfect fit for a home who doesn’t want any puppy nonsense: no chewing on socks, peeing on the carpet, or needing constant attention with this lovely lady.
Leena is a great listener who will go with the flow, it’s even better if the flow is slow and calm. This happy lady doesn’t need a crate and doesn’t mind when you’re gone at work. She is excellent on a leash. Her recall is great, when she can hear you. This senior girl has some trouble hearing, so you would just need to work on getting her attention. Sometimes she gets little burst of energy and insist on playing fetch. Leena will let you know she needs to go potty by whining or going to the door. She will also let you know when she wants to go back in with a bark reminder. Leena has had quite the past. We don’t know everything, but we promise her future is bright and full of all the love she deserves. Leena is looking for someone who is patient, kind and doesn’t mind sharing their favorite couch or chair. What do you say? Need a cuddle buddy? House hippo? Couch potato? Pittie princess? Albert's Dog Lounge is a foster-based rescue providing compassionate care to special needs, senior, and hospice dogs.
Our adoption process begins with a completed application. From there, we will review references and vet records. The next step is a home visit with your family. This visit may be in person or virtual. At that point, if approved, we will set up a meet and greet with available dogs.
All dogs have an adoption fee of $275 for a single dog or $500 for (bonded) pair, unless otherwise noted.
Note: Pairs must be adopted at the same time to get the reduced adoption fee.
-Applications with incomplete information will not be processed.
- All current dogs in the home must be spayed or neutered, up to date on rabies vaccination, up to date on DHLPP, up to date on Heartworm testing and preventative.
- All cats in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on a rabies vaccination or wellness exam.
- None of our dogs will be adopted to prospective owners who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on the adoption application and/or the adoption contract. Albert's Dog Lounge reserves the right to refuse adoption to anyone.
- You must agree that if you are no longer able to keep your rescue dog for whatever reason, the dog will be returned to Albert's Dog Lounge. The adopter must agree to never attempt to sell or rehome the dog at any point.
