Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chief was purchased as a puppy and after 7 years was displaced when the choice became the new baby or the dog. We do not understand as he has been such a perfect gentleman in his foster home. He’s great with humans of all sizes and ages and just wants to be loved and spend his senior years with his humans.
He has great house manners and will ask to go outside if he does not have access to a doggie door. He loves car rides and getting to go wherever but is OK staying home if he cannot join his family. He’s great on a leash and still has plenty of energy for neighborhood walks and visits.
Chief lives with lots of other dogs, of all sizes and ages, and is fine with them unless someone decides to pick on him; for instance, the youngsters that have not learned senior puppers need their space. While he is OK in his hectic foster home, we hope to find this sweet boy a calmer home with much quiet enjoyment with his new family.
Chief is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and current with his flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

More about this rescue
Hillcrest Animal Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to saving as many homeless, neglected and abused animals as our resources allow. All of our rescues are placed in loving foster homes and receive thorough medical care. Each companion animal is heartworm tested and treated if positive; placed on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention; altered and micro chipped. Every animal receives a full complement of vaccines depending on risk and immune status. Chronic pain is not acceptable with animals in our care. We will take whatever measures are necessary to ensure that all of our animals are living free of pain and disease. To summarize our belief in veterinary care, any animal at Hillcrest Rescue receives the same level of veterinary care as if she or he were the only animal we have.
